Question 1

How do I remove blank pages from a scanned PDF?

Accepted Answer

Empty backs show up as pale thumbnails after a duplex scan. Click each one, then download. You must keep at least one page. If the remaining scan is still too large to send, compress it next.

Question 2

Why won't the tool let me delete every page?

Accepted Answer

A PDF has to keep at least one page. If nothing in the file is worth keeping, delete the file in your folder. If you wanted one chapter as its own PDF, extract that range on Split.

Question 3

Do the remaining pages get new page numbers?

Accepted Answer

The file order becomes the remaining sheets. Printed numbers on the page are part of the artwork, so they do not rewrite themselves. Add new numbers later if you need them.

Question 4

I clicked the pages I wanted to keep. How do I fix that?

Accepted Answer

Clicks mark pages to drop. Click those thumbnails again to unmark them before you download. After a download, drop the original file and select again.

Question 5

Will this overwrite the PDF on my disk?

Accepted Answer

No. You download a new file. The file you dropped stays where it was until you replace or delete it yourself.

Question 6

Why is the file still large after I deleted pages?

Accepted Answer

You lost the weight of the sheets you dropped. Pictures on the pages you kept did not shrink. Compress the download if those pictures are the problem.

Question 7

Can I remove pages 10-20 without clicking each thumbnail?

Accepted Answer

This grid is click-to-drop. There is no range field here. If you want pages 10-20 as a new PDF and do not care about editing the original, extract that range on Split.

Question 8

I need chapter 4 as its own PDF. Is that Remove Pages?

Accepted Answer

No. That is Split. Remove Pages is for leftovers inside a file you still want to keep as one document.

Question 9

Can I restore a page after I already downloaded?

Accepted Answer

Not inside the download. Drop the original file again and leave that page unmarked. The first download stays as a separate file.

Question 10

Do form fields on kept pages survive?

Accepted Answer

Kept pages stay as they were, including fields on those pages. Fields that lived only on a removed page are gone with that page.

Question 11

The scan is sideways and also has blanks. What should I do first?

Accepted Answer

Rotate the sideways sheets so you can see which thumbnails are blank, then delete the blanks. Compress last if the file is still too heavy to send.
